Gulfside Oasis

We’ve stayed at several properties on the island and this was definitely our favorite. The rooms were spacious and it was great having multiple bathrooms. We stayed in the MBR but our guests in the other BRs said their mattress were not very comfortable. Other than that, we loved the property.

Perfect location! Only 1 block from the beach. We walked back and forth to the beach many times each day. Plenty of room in the house for our large multi-generational family. 5 bathrooms was a huge bonus!

Gulfside Oasis was very nice. Very clean at check-in time and the beach was only about 200 feet or so away. We had a small hiccup with an appliance, but Anna Maria Vacation Rentals responded immediately and took care of it.

We did pool and beach over and over all day. Our grandchildren are ages, 10 years, 7 years, 4 years, 18 months and 11 months. Very nicely accommodated all 11 of us. I would like to point out that on the main floor balcony there were two plastic chairs that were badly broken and dangerous, very sharp. Also on that same balcony one of the tops to the railing could be lifted off and could possibly fall onto a car below.

Excellent location a block from the beach. Perfect size for three families - plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, nice living area and balconies.

There were 11 of us who stayed at this property. Three families total ages ranging from 15-40s. This property was plenty big enough for all of us. The location to the beach was perfect and the property came with lots of beach chairs, towels, an umbrella and a wagon. We loved the backyard pool space. It was perfect for those afternoon swims to cool off.

The property was great and in a great location. Well stocked and clean. It could use a little TLC. The only problems were that we had to evacuate mid week because of Hurricane Helene (no fault of the property owners or VRBO of course). The biggest issue I had was that upon arrival Saturday night, the code that was given to me for the lock box for the key did not work. It was after hours and the two telephone numbers that I called were not answered (including the after hours number. we had two small children with us and a car full of groceries and weren't sure what we were going to do (hotel...and what to do with the groceries). Luckily, we found a sliding glass door unlocked and were able to let ourselves in. I would suggest in the future a keyless entry lock...and mostly for the fact that such a large house that can hold a lot of people and only one key was a bit of a problem. Keyless solves that issue.

This property was exactly what I’d imagined. I give it five stars for location, very spacious and comfortable. As with any rental property maintenance is huge. We did have to call a couple times for a couple fixes–one being the kitchen faucet handle fell off. Another being the upstairs dryer not drying clothes. Sounds like upstairs dryer has had previous issues mentioned in previous posts. It was not resolved but we managed with one dryer. The pool could have used a good cleaning. It was filled with leaves upon arrival. We decided to tackle this project ourselves. The hot tub does not heat. It might just be considered a spa and not a hot tub but once again not a huge issue for our group. But if you want it hot you might have to inquire first before booking. The home could use is a new can opener (doesn’t work). And a beach wagon. Hauling beach stuff without a wagon is definitely a chore and a work out. Thankfully we had many hands but if your traveling with toddlers or infants, it would make it easier if the home supplied a beach wagon for use. All in all, the home was great for our family of 11. And a very close distance to beach (walk across road) and beautiful sunsets every night!

We had a group of 9 staying at the property for a vacation. The home is very nice with enough bedrooms/bathrooms for everyone and living space. The heated pool and hot tub were used every night. If had maintenance issues (issues with kitchen faucet and upstairs dryer), they were taken care of very quickly. The location is also great as well. Only half a block away form the beach entrance. The neighborhood is pretty quiet. Grocery stores and restaurants are very close to the property. Golf cart rentals are also available and we saw many of them around the island. The only traffic issues were because of construction at the corner of Gulf Rd and Marine Rd that caused some detours leaving the island. Overall, we would highly recommend this property to any family/friends that want a great beach/sun experience.

Our family of 11 traveled to AMI to enjoy a week of warm weather and sandy beaches. This house had plenty of room for us all and was just across the street from the beach. We enjoyed the secluded backyard pool and hot tub in the evenings after a day at the beach. The house provides lots of towels...... both bath and beach. The beach chairs and sand toys were a nice addition. Everybody raved over the comfortable beds. We hope to come back again!

We had a wonderful stay at Gulf Side Oasis. Our family of 11 traveled to AMI to enjoy a week of warm weather and sandy beaches. This house had plenty of room for us all and was just across the street from the beach. We enjoyed the secluded backyard pool and hot tub in the evenings after a day at the beach. Great property with a nicely shaded pool to relax in after going to the beach all day. Proximity to beach was amazing. Balcony views of the water and beach breeze made the morning coffee taste even better!!

Gulfside Oasis was perfect for our group of 12. Each family had their own space and the kids had plenty to do with the ping pong table, the beach and swim oasis out back. The location of the house cannot be beat unless it was sitting on the sand. Truly, a quick crossing of the street and you are there. The other bonus is being close to the one side of town. You can walk to liquor stores, restaurants, coffee shops and sandwich shops. The Pine street side of town is a little farther away but was not an issue to jump in golf cart to get there. The bedrooms and bathrooms situation in this house is perfect for three families!!The beds are so comfortable. The only complaint would be that there was no sun on the pool this time of year and that they may need to trim back some of the trees around the pool. That would never sway us from renting this property again. It was truly perfect. Anna Maria has everything needed for a wonderful vacation. It also helped that the weather the week after Christmas was amazing! Thanks for a wonderful break from the insanity of life right now.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Great location and short walk to beach. Pool area was nice although the hot tub needed a bit of tile work done as tiles were falling off outside of tub but nothing that affected our trip and fun. The kitchen pans were not awesome and not one top fit any of the pans so a new set of even cheap pans would have been great since we cooked a lot. The beds were more of the memory foam type mattress and no box springs which most of the family loved the softness of them but was not a good choice for my not so great back. Just so others are aware in case that could be an issue for someone else with back issues. The ping pong table was nice for the kids and the jungle like pool area made you feel you were in your own little jungle in middle of no where. The pool had wonderful table set, lounge chairs, tiki bar table in the pool which was cute, tv and cable outside too. Oh and the hot tub was actually a hot tub which was so nice! Sometimes those don’t get warmer than the pool and this did and felt awesome! And there were beach chairs that we didn’t use but they were in garage. A few beach toys and lots of pool toys. And beach towels provided which was awesome since I totally forgot to pack ours. Whoops! The beach is amazing. Soft cool sandy beach. People were catching fish one after another out there on beach side. Was fun watching. The house overall was beautiful and very clean and we had a wonderful time and would stay again in the future when we visit the area. Thanks for the great couple weeks away!

Gulfside Oasis was our family paradise for a week in October (when snow came early back in Minnesota)! We loved the clean space in the house, the large pool area, and the great location! The beach is very close and many restaurants are within minutes of 204 66th Street. We agree with the other reviews which suggested a better refrigerator...or two! Thanks for the fun family stay for us!
