House is clean, well furnished and had a great supply of amenities especially the kitchen cookware and utensils. Providing more toilet paper (4 rolls) paper towels (2 small rolls)and trash bags would have been nice. Pool was also great and well maintained. Overall it was a great place for a week for our family.

We actually canceled a previous listing after finding this one. We got so much more of a value for our stay here than we would've anywhere else. Having a pool to yourself is something we really look for when vacationing. Pet friendly rentals are so hard to find and we were so grateful to have been able to bring our pup! This place was impeccably clean...cleaner than my own house maybe haha. The host was extremely responsive and even gave us a heads up about upcoming events and road closures. The location is so close to many shops and restaurants and a quiet public beach. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Had everything we needed perfect for our family of 4. Kids loved the pool and we loved being able to walk to restaurants. One issue with a rodent but it was quickly taken care of (outside and not in the house thankfully!). We will be back!

We were excited to escape the midwest winters at the Castaway Cottage. This was a return visit for us as we enjoyed all of the amenities that this house offers as well as its great location close to the beach, fun restaurants, shops and of course our favorite ice cream store. My husband and I like to cook, and the well equipped kitchen had all of the necessary tools and appliances along with the gas grill which we used a lot. We had a visit from some of our family with young children during our stay. They enjoyed the large lower level area with a refrigerator, ping pong table, play area and TV. The screened in porch has a large table for dining and other projects. Of course the private pool was where they spent a lot of time. There are all of the necessary items in the garage area needed for a day at the beach….backpack chairs, a large black wagon, a cooler and more. We love AMI and look forward to our next visit to the Castaway Cottage.

The property and location made for a great and relaxing vacation. Minutes walk to a beautiful beach and a great pool to enjoy as a family. We never needed to drive as great restaurants within walking distance and of course the free trolley. Our kids loved the game room which kept them very entertained. Extremely clean and had everything you could need for your stay.

This house had it all, an amazing pool, game room, bikes and all the beach gear you could need! Great floor plan, and totally stocked with everything we needed for a weeks stay! Very clean, and well decorated. Our family felt perfectly at home there for the week. Location to beach is great- 8 minute walk. Or a 2 minute gulf cart ride. We would absolutly stay here again!

We had a great spring break! The house had everything we needed for an amazing week at the beach. The house was extremely clean when we arrived, and there was plenty of space for our family. We had one rainy day and the kids had a blast playing ping pong and card games while I read a book on the screened-in porch. It was nice to have this extra space where we could all still spend the rainy day relaxing outside enjoying the warm weather on the porch. The rest of the week was spent outside by the pool or at the beach. The backyard was very quiet and private. So relaxing! My kids loved the big pool. We really enjoyed walking around the island and having so much so close with restaurants and shops. We can't wait to go back!

We had the best week in AMI. The house made our trip so easy. This house is fully stocked with everything you need for a week at the beach. There was so much space to spread out. We spent most of our time downstairs by the pool. The downstairs space makes this house!!! Having the extra space to spread out with the extra refrigerator, TV and ping pong table right off the pool was great. The pool area is amazing! Extremely private, quiet and relaxing with a very large lanai to eat meals! They had all you need for a day at the beach (umbrella, beach chairs, toys, cooler, bikes, etc.) and it was handy to have it all stored in the garage. After a long day at the beach it was easy to pull it all in the garage and not have to drag it inside or upstairs. The location of the house is perfect. Very easy walk to the beach on quiet roads. The street is so quiet yet within a 4-5 minute walk you can be at all the best restaurants and shops on the island. We walked or used the bikes in the garage and never needed to drive the entire week. We will be back!

This was one of the best places I have ever printed. Everything about the house was spot on. The location was perfect to the beach to restaurants to bars to shopping to everything. The set up of the house with the bedrooms in the game room downstairs in the pool area and the Lanai that was screened in was perfect. The Kitchen was very well stocked and have an extra refrigerator freezer downstairs was perfect. The rental was stocked with all the beach supplies you could need. Would highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a great great vacation.

Walk to beach was .3 miles (only a 5 minute walk). House is cute and comfy, with extras provided (bikes, wagon, chairs, ping pong, coolers, etc.). Restaurants and trolley stops were also close, making it a very convenient stop. If you want to drive to a beach, they are close too! We will stay here again for sure!

This house is so well equipped! It’s got all the beach stuff/ toys, bikes, air compressor, tools, seriously… anything you need! It’s a good spot with about a 7 minute walk to the beach. I do recommend booking a golf cart if you can. It was great to load everyone up & go to some quite beach spots on the island. The pool was fantastic, but bring mosquito spray/ candles/ incense, voodoo, anything to keep them away. This was an absolutely awesome family vacation!!

Newly retired we decided to get away from our snowy home for a few weeks. Castaway Cottage was great. The house was clean and inviting. It had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we enjoyed having a Keurig. We loved how secluded and quiet the pool area was. The entire backyard is engulfed by tall palm trees that make you feel like you are in your own private tropical oasis. The Hammock Chair was my comfy reading/napping nook! We enjoyed daily walks on the beach and biking around the island. Loved that the house had backpack beach chairs in the garage for our nightly beach walks for sunset. We hope to bring our grandchildren next time who will love the ping pong table and TV area right off the pool.

My family and I decided to have a last minute getaway and reserved this home not really knowing the location. We said, Why not? Our kids are distance learning on line and we are working remotely. It turned out to be the best! We were so close to restaurants, shopping, the trolley and more. This is a great house with a fantastic outdoor area, game room and a nice floorplan. The fridge downstairs was perfect to put extra drinks and snacks in. The dining room table was a classroom part of the day and an office the other time. It worked out for everyone. It was clean, neat and up to date. The kitchen was well stocked with a nice grilling area too. We did eat out several times but fully used the kitchen too. We liked it so much, we have decided to come back later in the year for another fun trip. Thanks for a great stay and we will be back soon.

A perfect family house for a post-holiday getaway! Our family of 4 enjoyed plenty of space and great amenities. The home was very clean, comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen and lots of beach gear available for guests. The lower level rec room was a plus for our kids as well and offered a separate space for them to spread out when we weren’t at the beach or enjoying the pool. The huge screened in porch was a great spot for evening meals outside by the pool. We loved the quiet neighborhood, easy walk to the beach and central location within walking distance to many popular AMI restaurants and ice cream for the kids! We will be back for sure!
