Bahama Mama

We very much enjoyed our stay at Bahama Mama. The location was superb, however a little bit of a walk to the beach if you’re elderly. We rented a golf cart. The house was very spacious, but bedrooms small to fit cribs. If you’re needing anything for infants, you will need to rent, which is an additional expense. There were 5 low seated beach chairs and a wagon for the beach and plenty of beach towels. No umbrellas…no sand toys etc so that was disappointing. I would recommend you add some better beach chairs and an umbrella for those traveling by air. Rental fees add up!The pool and hot tub and back yard very nice.We would definitely stay at this property again!

Our family had an amazing time together. The house was equipped with everything we could possibly need—from everyday essentials to beach gear. We enjoyed an amazing Italian meal at Café Gabiano’s, which made the trip even more special. The pool was fantastic, and the close proximity to the beach allowed my grandma to join us for a pleasant walk along the shore. I highly recommend!!

Bahama Mama was nearly perfect! It is aesthetically pleasing, just really beautiful and thoughtfully designed. We loved that all five bedrooms have their own bathroom, and the common space is large enough for a big family group, both in terms of lounging and dining. The accessibility to the beach and the village was excellent for the combination of our parents and children (ages 18-80). The only "wish for" is that the kitchen isn't really stocked for cooking for a large crowd, but we made do (if I were staying again I'd pack my stock pot and griddle). The pool is fantastic, nicely shaded multiple times per day. We'd definitely stay again.

The house is just as pictured. Great location to the village(shops & restaurants) and not a long walk to the beach. Good parking available at the house and we had a nice quiet stay. The mgmt company was very good and responsive both pre & post visit. We did have a question about how to get the spa working and they were quick to get back to us with a response. Could have used a few more large serving dishes and baking pans. We enjoyed cooking fresh fish we caught and grilling out by the pool. Would definitely recommend staying at this house!

We stayed at this property for the second year in a row and enjoyed it tremendously. Location is prime+ and while it's in the center of everything, it is still nice and calm in the house and the backyard. The rental home to the left and right add some noise (and weed smell), but overall it's a nice, peaceful spot. Our family of 8 grown ups felt comfortable and had plenty of space for privacy. Great gathering spot on the patio! Kitchen is perfect, pool and garbage service works nicely and in the background

My husband and I spent a week here! We loved the decor and overall layout of the house! 2 minute walk to the Village and about 10 min walk to the beach. They do provide beach chairs, coolers and wagon to make for an easy trip!

We were a group of 9 adults for a week without our kids, and this property was epic! Walked to the beach, the bar/restaurants, and honestly could have spent a week without leaving the property. Literally everything you need is in walking distance, and the property was so clean it seemed brand new. Any issues were resolved immediately including replacing the outdoor TV post-hurricane and a new beach cart! Highly recommend to anyone!

We had a great time staying here. We were close to the beach but with 4 kids under the age of 5.. I would not consider it Walking distance to the beach. We rented a golf cart for the week... worked out perfectly! The house was beautiful and accommodated our family very nicely. The pool is very nice and the kids practically lived in it when we weren't at the beach. It is a great location... close to all the restaurants and grocery stores. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed with our adult children. It was wonderful that everyone could do whatever they wanted without the need for transportation. The beach, shopping, supermarket, bars, restaurant all is within 5 min walking distance. The home is private, with plenty of room for at least three couples plus a few kids in bunks. The kitchen is well stocked, the pool is serviced frequently and is sparkling clean and warm. Plenty of parking, washer/dryer (could use an upgrade). All is in good working order and property management is very responsive and communicates well. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back

The highlight is the "backyard." A great pool with sitting areas, both shaded and not. Having four bedrooms in each corner of the house is a great design. Location is ideal to walk-into town for dinner or market to pickup a few last minute groceries. Beach farther than advertised. Atleast 10 minute walk with traffic. Lugging chairs, etc. If you get a golf cart (I highly recommend), it becomes convenient.

We enjoyed our spring break at this home. The house was very spacious for all of us. We were a family of six adults. We loved the fact that all the rooms had their own bathroom, that there was a big kitchen, and we loved the outdoor seating area. We spent so much time by the pool and at the big table that was in the shade. The house is also beautifully decorated. The other great advantages were the location, walking distance to the grocery store, as well as walking distance to cafes and restaurants, as well as to the beach. Bahama Mama is a beautiful property that is located within walking distance—a few minutes—of vibrant Siesta Village, which is buzzing with restaurants, shops and a grocery market, and Siesta Beach Access #5, which is a great part of Siesta Beach away from the crowds of the main public beach further south on Beach Road. The bedrooms are ample with private bathrooms, and the open common areas are adequate to gather together for meals and some end of day relaxation. The backyard pool was secluded and nice for all, and an outdoor table works well for gaming. Bahama Mama is a 10!

This property is in such a great location relative to the market, multiple restaurants, etc. If you wanted to go shopping in Sarasota or go to a larger grocery, it would be easier just to do a ride share. The house is laid out beautifully and was perfect for multiple couples. We were there for 3 weeks and had family and friends rotating in and out. Red tide and weather negatively affected the overall experience, so I would suggest going earlier in the summer, but the house was awesome!

The house and it's location made our vacation. We came during a Red Tide and did not go to the beach much. But the pool was amazing and we were in the pool much of the time. The location was exceptional. Literally a three or four minutes walk to a number of awesome restaurants. The rental agency was also amazing. They let us store our luggage when we had to wait four hours for our flight. Plus they were open every day for long hours so you could easily reach them. This saved us dragging our luggage all over Siesta Keys. We were able to leisurely shop and dine out while we tried to kill time. The pool and outdoor property was very well maintained. The house was super clean but there were a couple spots on the chairs but overall very clean. We would certainly rent from them again.

This property was great for us the 11 women traveling. First of all, it was clean!!! Although the bedrooms were quite small, which was ok, everything else was a nice size. The kitchen was convenient and really well equipped. The living space extended outside which made it larger. The back was private and cozy, and we never felt cramped. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. BTW, our property manager, Kim, was easy to contact and took care of any issue we had. Definitely a winner.

This place was absolutely amazing, location was spot on the house was awesome. My only complaint is there are two garages one of them is the owners I believe that they should switch garages So that the renters are able to occupy one garage with the car because you cannot get it in the first garage because it is too tight. And one other thing I know the pool service is set on a schedule but the pool should be cleaned the day of check-in for the new guest it was not clean and circulation was not that good. Other than that this place is magnificent.

The location of this property cannot be beat - it's within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, shopping, etc. Neighborhood is nice - felt safe. The home itself is compact. I can't call it very quiet - each room has a open vent in the wall or upper doorway, allowing noise from the living room/kitchen (which are adjacent to all BRs) to flow freely into the BRs. Bring white noise machines! We had to make a Target run for tp, paper towels, soaps, foil, detergent, etc., although a small starter pack of some items was at the home. Tiny pool worked great for our little ones. Communication from manager was ok. Definitely recommend this beautiful home.

This house is full of great amenities. The house is beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, cutlery and tableware. There living room, outdoor area and bedrooms are all equipped with flat screen TV's. Wifi worked well. The property manger was adequately helpful. The rental was spotless. The location was great. I was very satisfied with the condition of the rental.

I can’t say enough about this house. It was absolutely beautiful with a location that could not be beat. Groceries and liquor store at the end of the block, the beach about 5 minute walk and steps to the center of the village, restaurants, and bars. Heated pool in the backyard was superb! Plenty of space for 10 of us— each bedroom with It’s own bathroom. Huge flatscreen tv’s in every room kept the kids entertained after dark. We loved, loved this house and Siesta key! We will most definitely be back.

The house was absolutely beautiful and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, bakeware, etc. for our large family of 13! There were plenty of bath towels and beach towels. We loved the 5 bedrooms with private baths. We also appreciated the pool toys and rafts. Having access to a beach wagon and chairs was so helpful. We used Instacart to order most of our groceries from Publix but later walked to the market just a few minutes away to restock. There were also many great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Our only frustration was due to the energy-efficient air conditioner unit which shut off if one of the doors or windows wasn’t absolutely sealed. We ended up only using the front door and patio door because those were the least touchy. We would highly recommend this property to others! It added a lot of convenience and enjoyment to our vacation!
